In 1991, Old World launched SplitFire
Spark Plugs and created a whole new market
niche for performance spark plugs.
Our entrepreneurial spirit drove our
vision to seize upon new, patented technology
compared to ordinary spark plugs. We
targeted the automotive, motorcycle and marine
aftermarket distribution channels. SplitFire
success earned the company the 1994
Entrepreneurs of the Year Award. Today,
Old World sells SplitFire to most major
automotive retail chains and mass merchandisers
including Murray's Discount Auto, Auto Zone, Kmart,
Checkers, Schucks and Kragen Auto Parts, Wal-Mart and
O'Reilly Auto Parts.
Over 70 million SplitFire Spark Plugs have
been sold worldwide since its introduction!
We’ve
expanded the SplitFire brand name to include

a need in the truck accessory market that was
not being met by any other company. HERCULINER,
the first do-it-yourself brush-on bed liner kit,
was introduced and is currently sold in over
17,000 retail, distributor, catalog, and jobber
outlets. The
tough, textured polyurethane coating can be
applied in 3 easy steps, and while it provides
unbeatable protection to truck beds, it can also
be used on wood, fiberglass, rubber, or plastic-
or just about anywhere where a non-skid surface
is needed for safety and added durability!

solvents sold are alcohols, glycols, selected
glycol ethers and aromatics.
Transportation continuity is provided by Old
World’s fleet of bulk liquid tank cars and
contracts with the major barge companies.
Bulk storage tanks are set up in major
distribution centers on the inland waterways and
ship channels. Where barge access is
unavailable, rail to truck terminals provides
effective distribution.
