Triethylene Glycol
is similar to ethylene glycol and diethylene glycol in many respects,
including water and organic compound compatibility; freezing point
depressant capability; ease in reacting with intermediates; and
solvent, lubricant, plasticizing, and hygroscopic properties. However,
because it is considerably less volatile, Triethylene Glycol is
suitable for a wider range of applications.
